me: i haven't been eating alot. it's too hot man, but my host mom gets mad about it when i dont eat.
shan: LOL how does she get mad
me: she like...tells me that i need to eat. like tuesday i wasnt hungry at lunch and she sneakily was like, "no va a almorzar? solamente tomo un cafe esta manana." and im like, "si pero no tengo hambre porque hace demasiado calor." and then she forced me to drink some watermelon juice, which i was okay with.
shan: you do not go to lunch? you only take the coffee in the morning.
me: you're not going to eat? you only drank a coffe this morning
shan: yes but i don't have hunger because it is hot outside.
me: and i was like yeah but i'im not hungry because it's too hot
shan: i am so good at translation. although in my spanish classes in college i would always get points off because translation was too literal. like, i wouldn't translate it the way an english would say it
me: lol. that's not good translation though hahaha. that's transliteration
shan: whatever it sounds so much more pro to me. like, i would rather imagine things the way spanish says them because it's awesome and literal. who cares how i say stuff. anyone in american can know how to do that. you can tell her that i only take the coffee in the morning if it helps
me: oh yeah i already told her nunca tengo hambre por la manana
shan: i dont have hunger for the morning
